How it Works

To submit:

  1. Start in the Commercial Submission form in your portal.
  2. When entering the NAICS code and target premium amount under $10,000, you will see a box acknowledging that the insured is eligible for the Digital Brokerage.
  3. From there, eligible carriers for that class will appear. Select the carrier you’d like to request a quote from.
  4. Include the standard documents as you would with a normal submission. (ACORDs, loss runs, SOV, or Exposure workbook, etc.)
  5. Once submitted and completed, our team will connect you via email directly with the carrier's small business team, who you'll work with to get the policy quoted and bound!

FAQs

Why can I only select one carrier at a time?

Our Digital Brokerage isn’t designed for mass shopping, but rather to help you intentionally test a carrier’s appetite, understand how they compete, and begin building a relationship with the carrier.

Since the Digital Brokerage connects you directly to carriers that you do not have an appointment with (yet), and is focused specifically on carriers' core growth codes, we've been able to work with carriers by building this as a marketing guide (see what carriers are interested, move forward with one).

What if I’m unsure which carrier is the best fit?

ONLY carriers that are most appropriate and competitive are offered in the submission process for the Digital Brokerage, so you will not see a carrier offered that is not interested and competitive in that class code.

Our participating carriers have hand-picked their top classes where they consistently perform well and achieve high placement success.

Carrier profiles and appetite guidelines are also available to help you make informed placement decisions that align with both appetite and your broader carrier strategy.

How does the process work with each carrier?

Next, Coterie & weSure: It's a completely digital process. Once submitted, you'll receive an email from your Solutions Advocate with a link to quote and bind it yourself.

CNA, Hanover, Travelers, Liberty Mutual, Markel, AmTrust, Forge, Merchants, & Chubb: Once submitted, your Solutions Advocate will connect you with the carrier's in-house digital brokerage team so you can work with them directly to quote and bind.

Lio & Hiscox: Once submitted, your Solutions Advocate will email you a link to sign up for access. You can quote with Hiscox typically within an hour and Lio within 24 hours.

Merchants, Chubb, & Forge: Once submitted, your Solutions Advocate will get your quote returned within 48-72 hours.

What happens if a carrier declines?

Support beyond the initially selected carrier is available if it aligns to the defined carrier strategy established with your Solutions Advocate. If that's the case, please contact your Solutions Advocate for next steps.

How do I service policies from the Digital Brokerage?

You will continue to submit service requests for this business through your Indium portal as you typically do. From there, we will connect you with the carrier contact to work through the request directly.
