How to import AL3 files
This guide is meant to help you import AL3 files provided to you by Indium for policies written through the Indium brokerage. If you run into issues or errors in your system, please reach out to your Vertafore representative. Indium is unable to provide further technical, user-specific assistance.
Steps to find your AL3 file in your Indium Membership Portal
Step 1: Log in to your Indium Membership Portal. Scroll down the page until you see the "Membership Management" section. Click on the Insured Documents to see where your Brokerage Policy Documents are stored.
Step 2: After clicking on the Insured Documents, two sub-folders will appear: one for Commercial Lines clients and one for Personal Lines Clients. Click on the appropriate one of these folders.
*Pro Tip: If you prefer a list view, instead of tiles, click on the ☰ menu towards the top right.
Step 4: In each client, you should then see individual policies that you're able to click on for specific documents.
Step 5: Within the policy folders, there is likely a .pdf (or series of .pdfs) with a named date YY.MM.DD format and an .al3 Click on the al3, and a menu should appear on the right hand side.
Step 6: Click "Download" and select a location for the file to download. From there, please follow these instructions from the Vertafore team on how to import an AL3 (linked here).
